Educational Qualification:
Warder: 10+2 or equivalent with Punjabi up to Matriculation as one of the compulsory or elective subjects.
Matron: Same as Warder.

SC/ BC/ EWS Candidates: Rs. 250/-
Ex-Serviceman & Dependent Candidates: Rs. 200/-

For Warder:
Physical Measurement Test (PMT):
Minimum Height:
General: 5 feet 7 inches
Dogras and Gurkhas: 5 feet 4-1/2 inches
Chest: 33’ unexpanded, 34-1/2’ expanded
Vision: Normal in both eyes (with or without spectacles), must not be colour blind.
Physical Efficiency Test (PET):
For male candidates:
100 Meters Run: 15 Seconds (one chance)
Shot Put (7.26 Kg): 5.50 meters (three chances)
Rope Climbing: 15 feet (three chances)
For Ex-Servicemen candidates (male):
100 Meters Run: 17.5 Seconds (one chance)
Shot Put (7.26 Kg): 5.00 meters (three chances)
Rope Climbing: 12 Feet (three chances)
Note: Wards of Ex-Serviceman must qualify the PET as per general category criteria.
For Matron:
Physical Measurement Test (PMT):
Minimum Height: 5 feet 3 inches
Weight: 50 Kg and above
Vision: Normal in both eyes (with or without spectacles), must not be colour blind.
Physical Efficiency Test (PET):
For female candidates:
100 Meters Run: 18.5 Seconds (one chance)
Shot Put (5.443Kg): 4.00 meters (three chances)
Rope Climbing: 12 Feet (three chances)
For Ex-servicewomen candidates (female):
100 Meters Run: 20.0 Seconds (one chance)
Shot Put (5.443Kg): 3.5 meters (three chances)
Rope Climbing: 10 Feet (three chances)
Note: Wards of Ex-Servicewomen must qualify the PET as per general category criteria.
