About the Role:
As a Node.js Developer, you will be a pivotal member of our development team, working on backend frameworks and databases to build robust, efficient, and high-performing applications. Your expertise in Node.js and related technologies will be crucial in driving the success of our projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and design scalable and highly-available RESTful APIs using Node.js.
Utilize backend frameworks such as Express, Loopback, and Koa.
Implement microservices design patterns including Observer, SAGA, Circuit Breaker, API Gateway, and Service Discovery.
Optimize performance, debug issues, and monitor systems using profiling tools like AppDynamics and Dynatrace.
Ensure high code quality with SOLID principles, Event Driven Architecture (Kafka), MongoDB, Redis.
Engage in CI/CD practices and troubleshoot issues in distributed services.
Use quality gate tools like Sonarqube and Checkmarx/Fortify.
Understand and implement containerization with Docker and Kubernetes.
Integrate API gateways like 3Scale and manage Single-Sign-On or token-based authentication (Rest, JWT, oAuth).
Required Qualifications:
Degree or postgraduate in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent industry experience.
6-15 years of experience in Node.js development and design.
At least 2 years of hands-on experience with TypeScript/JavaScript.
Experience in banking, financial, and fintech environments in an enterprise setting is preferred.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
Technical Skills:
Strong coding skills with a deep understanding of SOLID principles.
Experience with microservices and distributed services resiliency.
Proficiency in containerization tools and CI/CD pipelines.
Ability to work with quality gate and profiling tools.
Understanding of Single-Sign-On and token-based authentication mechanisms.
Functional Skills:
Adherence to best coding, security, unit testing, and documentation standards.
Proficient in Agile methodologies.
Capability to research and benchmark technologies effectively.
Soft Skills:
Ability to influence and guide multiple teams on technical considerations.
Self-motivated, with a strong ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of presenting ideas to senior management.
